چکیده

Abstract Background A large number of studies have shown that BIMA grafting is superior to single internal mammary artery in cardiac function protection and long-term survival after surgery. While, there still no consensus on how the best configuration use BIMA. This study aims compare intraoperative blood flow, early clinical results postoperative patency different configurations Methods There were 74 patients who underwent CABGs with bilateral we included. According target territories RIMA grafted to, divided into group (group I) 20 cases left II) 54 cases. Intraoperative compared. Results was difference death major complications between I Group II( P >0.05). Compared LIMA II, had a slightly higher DF value (76.7 ± 6.2 vs 73.1 6.8, = 0.040). MGF (51.7 34.4 ml/min 31.4 21.4 ml/min, 0.024). other TTFM parameters II(P>0.05). Further subgroup analysis revealed compared free situ (71.4 7.8 61.8 18.1, 0.025). The PI than in-situ (3.0 1.6 2.1 1.0, 0.018). CTA examination showed all IMAs grafts completely patent. Conclusions for CABG safe efficacious, used right coronary received more satisfactory graft flow. stenosis occlusion stage, therefore ideal stable bypass graft.

Benefit of bilateral over single internal mammary artery grafts for multiple coronary artery bypass grafting.

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of bilateral internal mammary artery (BIMA) grafts in isolated CABG. METHODS AND RESULTS Beginning in April 1985, elective primary multiple CABG for multivessel disease was performed in 1131 patients. The early and late results of 688 patients who received single internal mammary artery (SIMA) grafts and 443 patients who receive...

Off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting using a bilateral internal mammary artery Y graft

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the outcome of off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCABG) using a bilateral internal mammary artery (BIMA) Y configuration graft to achieve total arterial myocardial revascularization. METHODS From October 2002 to December 2008, 208 patients (196 males and 12 females) underwent OPCABG using a BIMA Y configuration graft. The average age of the patients was 56.5 ± 1...

atherosclerosis of the internal mammary artery in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting

in patients requiring coronary artery bypass grafting (cabg), usually at least one of the internal mammary arteries is used. this study evaluates the degree of atherosclerotic involvement of the internal mammary artery (ima) in patients undergoing cabg. during two months period, 79 patients (66 male and 13 female with a medium age of 58 years) undergoing myocardial revascularization had a biops...

Bilateral internal mammary artery grafting reverses the negative influence of gender on outcomes of coronary artery bypass grafting surgery.

OBJECTIVES Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) has historically demonstrated higher hospital mortality in women compared with men. The influence of gender on long-term outcomes has not been clearly defined. METHODS A retrospective analysis of 4584 consecutive CABG patients was conducted: 3647 men (1761 single internal mammary artery, [SIMA]; 1886 bilateral IMA, [BIMA]) and 937 women (608 S...

Should bilateral internal thoracic artery grafting be used in elderly patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting?

BACKGROUND Although bilateral internal thoracic artery grafting is associated with improved survival, the use of this technique in the elderly is controversial because of their increased surgical risk and shorter life expectancy. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of age on outcome of patients undergoing bilateral internal thoracic artery grafting. METHODS AND RESULTS Betwee...
